Common questions
How do I check a message?
Open AortaShield, paste the message or add a screenshot, and tap Check message. You'll see Likely scam, Be careful or Looks safe, with the reasons and what to do.
How do I check from another app?
Select the text, link, screenshot or photo, tap Share, then choose AortaShield. On iPhone, if it isn't in the row, scroll to the end, tap More and turn AortaShield on. Nothing is sent until you tap Check message.
Are my messages stored?
No. Only the text is sent when you tap Check message, personal details like phone numbers and codes are hidden first, and we don't keep the message. Read the privacy policy for details.
The app says it can't connect
Check your internet connection and try again. If it keeps happening, update the app, restart your phone, and try once more. If it still doesn't work, email us.
